Metric announce Australian sideshows in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. Adelaide and Brisbane will have to make do with their Parklife appearances.

The mighty Metric are back with their first album in four years, Fantasies (April 7, Inertia). “Gimme Sympathy” is a definite highlight from the disc and showcases Metric’s strengths — swirling synths, huge hook filled choruses and Emily Haines’ air of cool detachment. The video, filmed in one take, sees the band changing places and costumes including Emily in perhaps the shortest leopard print dress ever made.
