Julian Plenti – Games For Days

By • Aug 11th, 2009 • Category: Webcut of the Week

Pseudonyms. What’s the point, eh? Initially it becomes a curious point of discussion but then soon after you’re back to being “the dude from Interpol” again. “Games For Days” is the first visual taster from Paul Banks aka Julian Plenti‘s debut album for Matador Julian Plenti is… Skyscraper. The obvious Interpol overtones on this track can’t be dismissed, nor can the appearance of Webcuts perennial belle du jour, Emily Haines of Metric, who makes a surprise appearance in this sordid little hotel drama. How can this not be Webcut of the Week?
