Lemonheads Shame, Pallett, Junip, Interpol

Concert cornucopia time once again for Aussie kids: The Lemonheads are doing It’s a Shame About Ray “Don’t Look Back” style. Last seen in these parts by Webcuts in 1993 we’re looking forward in re-visiting the past a-la “Hot Tub Time Machine” with The Lemonheads in November. Meanwhile in January Junip featuring the gentle Swede Jose González are playing Sunset Sounds and doing two sideshows, likewise Interpol. Finally classic loving Canadian Owen Pallett who in a perplexing move is not doing any festival slots or classic albums in full at all but just coming out here to play a normal run of shows. Hurrah!



Aus tour lures: Fall, Girls, New Pornographers

We told you about the bounty of international acts coming Australia’s way in the next few months a couple of weeks back, now after an announcement they would play the Meredith music festival in Victoria got those in other states chomping at the bit it’s now official — Mark E Smith and his current cohorts known as The Fall are playing headline shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on the back of this year’s Your Future, Our Clutter album. Also tour dates for San Fran’s Girls and Canadian indie supergroup The New Pornographers.
