Artists Confirmed for TV On The Radio & Deerhunter All Tomorrow’s Parties

The first bands have been announced for the TV On The Radio and Deerhunter curated All Tomorrow’s Parties events for Spring/Summer 2013. Making a welcome return to the place where it all began at the Pontins holiday camp in Camber Sands where things are shaping up nicely for both acts and their respectively curated weekends. The highlight for us being three days of Deerhunter madness with the band playing a different album each night.



Chromatics Have More Love To Kill

Having already released one of the albums of 2012 with Kill For Love, and about to play their biggest show to date at Heaven in London this week, sublime synth-poppers Chromatics have given away (yet again) more audio treats from their vaults. This time band leader Johnny Jewel has put together a 30 minute mix of unreleased and alternate versions of tracks from the Kill For Love sessions as a free download.



Manic Street Preachers ‘Generation Terrorists’ 20th Anniversary

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of its release, the Manic Street Preachers are re-issuing their legendary 18 track debut album Generation Terrorists on 5th November 2012, featuring a re-mastered version of album, unheard songs and demos, unseen film footage, tv performances and home movies, unique artwork and photos, and a new essay from band biographer Simon Price.



Interpol Turns On Bright Lights Again

Interpol‘s NYC-celebrating doom n’ gloom masterpiece Turn On The Bright Lights is to receive a 10th Anniversary retrofit come November 29. The reissue contains the original album, remastered, along with a second disc of demos, unreleased recordings and Peel sessions. Available in a super deluxe package on both CD and LP, will be a DVD featuring the band’s first show with drummer Sam Fogarino in New York, plus their first ever LA show (a high quality, multi camera shoot), along with the music videos for “NYC”, “PDA” and “Obstacle 1″.



Crystal Castles New Album + Single Details

Following the release of “Plague”, Canadian synth-terrors Crystal Castles have dropped another rapture-inviting single “Wrath Of God” from their forthcoming third album (III) due for release on November 5. Speaking recently about the forthcoming album, Kath explained his intent behind the recording: “We wanted the new album to sound like a completely different and new experience. Any keyboards and pedals used on ‘I’ or ‘II’ were traded for different keyboards and pedals so that there would be a new palette of sounds to work with.”

Savages Release Live EP + London Dates

Following the release of their electrifying, scene-shaking debut single “Flying to Berlin”/Husbands”, monochrome art-maidens Savages unveil news of a forthcoming live EP I Am Here due out on September 30 on their Pop Noire label. Released ahead of two live appearances at London’s Electrowerkz on October 11 & 12, the EP presumably functions to tide fans over as the band record their debut album, while also ridding themselves of their current live set as they prepare for their next step.



Debut Solo Album From Ladytron Lady

Helen Marnie of UK electro-poppers Ladytron is currently recording her debut solo album in Reykjavik, Iceland. The as yet untitled LP will be released under the moniker Marnie and is scheduled for 2013. “After five studio albums with Ladytron and some time on my hands between work with them, I finally decided now was the time to make an album I’ve always wanted to make. A solo album,” Marnie says. To help fund the recordings, Marnie has set up a Pledge Music campaign to get things moving.



Morrissey Announces Antipodean Tour

You stay out of the country long enough and you forget how time passes. Has it really been over 10 years since Morrissey last played Australia? (We had tickets the first time, but he never showed…). It seems so, as The Frontier Touring Company have announced today that they are bringing the getting-on-a-bit-but-still-quite-entertaining Morrissey to Antipodean shores for the first time in more than a decade for a run of shows this December. Joining Morrissey on tour will be American singer/songwriter Kristeen Young who has been supporting Morrissey across his 2012 world tour.



Crystal Castles Talk New Album + Tour

Following on from the release of “Plague”, a new track taken from their untitled 3rd (III?) album due in the fall, Crystal Castles have now announced a world tour that will see them playing a select number of UK dates in November in support of the record.
