We didn’t review Franz Ferdinand’s recent remix album Blood because, well, we just didn’t. Call it a ruling that no remix albums are to be ever reviewed on Webcuts, or just call it lazy. Our stance on remix albums is, if you to put one out, well then just give it to the kids for free. Y’hear Bloc Party? FREE. You bought the album once, there’s no need to buy it again just to hear some spotty bedroom DJ play Jenga with it.

As it stands, Franz Ferdinand in their infinite wisdom have chosen to release another single taken from the Tonight: Franz Ferdinand album in the form of “Can’t Stop Feeling”, due out July 6 on Domino Records. More curiousness abounds here though in the flipside, their version of LCD Soundsystem’s classic track “All My Friends”, which on occasion, has been known to make my girlfriend reach for a box of tissues. Can one band ruin a perfectly great tune? Drop Webcuts a line and let us know.
