The sun is out, summer is here (in this part of the world) and Animal Collective have decided to get in on the action by releasing “Summertime Clothes” as the second single from their Webcuts-approved Merriweather Post Pavilon album which will be released on June 29 on 12″ and digital single.
“Summertime Clothes” is a deliriously warm and instantly infectious track” sayeth the PR machine and who are we to argue. Remixes are courtesy of Hyperdub’s elusive and spooky beatmaker, Zomby, LA’s ‘Ambassador of Boogie Funk’ Dam-Funk, and South London breakbeat and dubstep producer, L.D.
To celebrate the release of the new single Domino Records are giving away an MP3 of the Dam-Funk remix. All you have to do is sell your soul (or your email address) to the Animal Collective mailing list (the Animal Collective Collective?) to retrieve the MP3.
