I remember being at Sydney Uni and wanting so much to get a copy of their Bughouse EP. I didn’t even lay my eyes on a copy even though I was actively looking for it :( Should have made a special order for it. I find I still regularly pull out the Bughouse material for a listen from my music collection for a listen. With this band all the pieces fit together to create something special.

Totally with you. I remember when the track first appeared in their live set, instantly loving it and then patiently waiting for them to get around to recording it. I always preferred their early live take on the track. Lea went straight into the full chorus after the first verse, rather than a half chorus on the recorded version. Doe-eyed fan that I was, I used to play live tapes of that track relentlessly.

V was pretty good, but I still rate The Brightest Firework as my favourite Bughouse song. Each to their own I suppose. I’m still spewing when my brother changed the channel when they played on ‘Live and Sweaty’ declaring, ignorantly “what’s this crap, never heard of them”

Hi Craig- just happened upon your site tonight.Tis the first time I’d seen the Vendetta clip since ’89.
I had forgotten what a great song it is. I’d love to add to the story if you’d like ,tho’ Gen’s version is pretty straight up (except me having money). Cheers, Pete.
