Kurt Vile – The Creature

On November 7, Philadelphia’s rockin’ folker Kurt Vile is set to release a brand new 6-song EP on 12″ vinyl/cd entitled So Outta Reach. The EP contains 5 original songs initially recorded during the sessions for Smoke Ring For My Halo but not used for the album, which were reworked with producer John Agnello this summer. In addition, the EP contains a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Downbound Train”. On the same day Matador Records will release a deluxe 2-CD version of Smoke Ring For My Halo with So Outta Reach on the second disc. Kurt Vile and The Violators are in the middle of a UK tour and play this Thursday at The Scala in London. Check out “The Creature” from the EP.
