The National – Bloodbuzz Ohio

High Violet is Brooklyn quintet The National‘s first full-length release since 2007′s acclaimed long-player Boxer and all eleven tracks were recorded in the band’s own studio. The first single ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’ is due for release on 7″ vinyl and digital download on May 3 with the album arriving one week later on May 10. Fans can now download a free MP3 of ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’ by heading to www.highviolet.com. The National will play a one-off show at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 6, with a low-key set at the Electric Ballroom in Camden on May 5. See you there. On a totally unrelated note, I would’ve been up for some bloodbuzz in Ohio last December, but some killjoy killed it. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Miss Cleveland.
