STARS – We Don’t Want Your Body

By • Jun 30th, 2010 • Category: Downloads

While the new STARS album may be a mixed bag it nonetheless contains several stellar tunes including “We Don’t Want Your Body” which imagines Torquil Campbell and Amy Milan as two sordid lovers in London, lying in the gutter looking up at the stars — figuratively speaking — combining Afropop with arpeggio organ and an insanely catchy white funk chorus. The album version can be downloaded or streamed from RCDLBL while a rave remix by The Five Ghosts producer Tom McFall (evil glare), runs with the whole “You sold me some cheap ecstasy/So you could have some sex with me” lyric and can be obtained at STARS’ MySpace. Think you could do better? Then head to MXP4 for a competition which allows you to download the separate stems of the songs to create and then upload your own version. Watch out for the “Webcuts Don’t Want Your Body but We’ll Take That Cheap Ecstasy” remix soon.
